Scale-up solutions and production
Pilot units are the intermediate link between laboratory and industrial scale distillation units
The main aim of pilot scale distillations is to generate data for scale-up and process development. Pilot plants allow the production of sample quantities up to several metric tons.

Design and Performance Features
- Capacity: 3 kg/h up to 100 kg/h
- Evaporator size: 0,06 m² - 0,5 m² (larger evaporators on request)
- Heating temperature: max. 350 °C
- Melting points: up to 150 °C
- Operating pressure:
- Wiped film evaporator: down to 0,1 mbara
- Short path evaporator: down to 0,001 mbara
- Material of construction: stainless steel and special alloys
- Low product hold-up in pipes and vessels
Custom System Options
- Feed – gear pump, membrane pump, dosing vessel
- Evaporator – short path, wiped film or horizontal thin film evaporator, wiped film evaporator + rectification column
- Wiping systems - various wiping systems are available depending on the distillation task
- Cold traps - for liquid nitrogen or chilling media
- Vacuum system - rotary vane pump, oil diffusion pump, membrane pump
- Heating and cooling system - depending on process requirements
- Discharge - continuous discharge with gear pumps or collecting vessels
- Piping - jacketed piping if required for higher melting products
- Control of plant - manual operation or PLC with HMI

- Skid – moveable Skid or Skid for Permanent Installation
- Configurations – single stage or multi-stage
